Student Athlete Cross Training/Yoga
Wednesdays starting October 4th
Time: 1:45 to 2:30 pm
Ages: Middle school and older
Location: Group Exercise Room
Young athletes are encouraged to stretch, but rarely do. Many sports have repetitive actions which result in extreme tightness in certain areas of the body. Yoga is renowned for its ability to heal, stretch and balance the body. This class will start with warming the body with 20 minutes of cross training using your own body weight. The last 25 minutes of class we will do yoga that focuses on chronically tight areas, such as hips, hamstrings, lower back and shoulders.
