Life Experience: I began teaching Aerobic classes in 1981, an obvious next step after being a dancer and cheerleader as a youngster. I found a love for working and teaching in such a positive environment and eventually grew a desire to work more closely with individuals as a personal trainer. While teaching fitness and raising two children, Chad and Brooke, I enrolled at COCC and completed the EMS/Paramedic program; I enjoyed the experience of that work for about 5 years and then returned to full time teaching and training. I was recruited by American Council on Exercise (ACE) to coordinate their national CPR/AED/First Aid programs for fitness professionals. I am fortunate to return to Bend and ACB after being an employee from 1993-2002, this is a special place where I can return to the active, healthy lifestyle that I fell in love with. Lifestyle Philosophy: Using an inborn curiosity, and desire to know the “why” to all of life’s most interesting questions. Creating an abundant, healthy lifestyle. Being fit, well, active and available to participate in anything that looks like it could be fun and fulfilling. Learning each and every day, in some way, to be new and improved. Sharing with others the knowledge, joy, and experience I have gathered. NEVER stop moving!
Areas of Specialization: Combining many years of work
experience in fitness, teaching and the medical field to enrich the lives of
others.
Strength, endurance,
flexibility and functional movement, with a foundation of “mind-body” focus,
for the “average” individual looking for fun, motivation, and healthy
longevity.
Keeping exercise programs
interesting, challenging and specific to the individual participant.
Hobbies
and Interests:
Healthy gourmet cooking, enjoying wine and good
conversation with friends, reading, yoga, Angels baseball, travel (anywhere
anytime), my dear family and children, constant pursuit of finding happiness in
every situation.
