Biography

Bruce Jackson grew up in farm country near Salem, Oregon. A passion for skiing brought him to his present home of Bend, Oregon in 1969. Brief work with ski cinematographer Warren Miller inspired Bruce to begin photographing in 1976.

In 1992, Bruce was awarded Grand Prize in the Sierra Club International Photography Competition. His creative work includes the famous Mt. Bachelor and Mt. Hood posters. Bruce’s photographs have been purchased by The Sierra Club, Alaska Airlines, Ritz-Carlton, Audubon, Coldwater Creek, Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter, Mt. Bachelor Inc., Hallmark and Sunset to name a few.
